Tyler is a life-long Fayette County native who is passionate about the advancement of healthcare opportunities in rural areas and is eager to improve access to his neighbors and surrounding communities. Tyler is a 2019 graduate from Fayetteville High School and Fayette Institute of Technology where he studied pre-pharmacy and obtained his EMT certification. He continued his education later graduating in 2022 with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia Junior College and again in 2024 from Capella University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Healthcare Management.
Tyler began his EMS career in 2018 in communication and then began working as an EMT in 2019 serving multiple communities throughout southern West Virginia. In 2022 he was appointed as a County Medical Examiner serving Fayette and Raleigh counties by the WV Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and has assisted in the performance of death examination and investigations for the past three years. His most recent work has been with Genesis Healthcare serving in multiple administrative capacities between Beckley and Huntington, WV.
In addition to Tyler's graduation and career accomplishments he is also a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Business Honor Society, serves as a member of the WV Rural Healthcare Association and is a Student Associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
In this role, Tyler will lead the successful growth of WV Lifeline Ambulance as we continue to advance the availability of emergency services to communities with limited resources which will result in an astounding impact to emergency situation responses and patient outcomes. Under his leadership, WVLAS will bring new EMS job opportunities to the market with higher-paying positions and a stronger focus of employee well-being.
