Chase Kirk

Chief Compliance Officer

Meet the Director

Our compliance efforts are guided by strong leadership dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and regulatory adherence across the organization.

Chase serves as the CCO and is the Director of the Compliance Department for WVLAS. In this role, he oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's compliance initiatives, ensuring that operational practices align with federal, state, and industry regulatory requirements.

Chase brings a diverse operational background to the position, having previously worked in rehabilitation services and after serving in office coordinator for WVLAS prior to his promotion to Chief Compliance Officer. His experience in both clinical support and administrative operations provides valuable insight into the day-to-day processes that support effective compliance across the organization.

In his current role, Chase works closely with ASAP Medical Management, the organization's billing provider, to ensure the highest level of compliance in electronic patent care reporting (ePCR) practices, billing documentation, and the protection of Protected Health Information (PHI). Through collaboration, oversight and ongoing education initiatives, he helps ensure WV Lifeline Ambulance maintains responsible documentation standards while safeguarding patient privacy.

Our Compliance Program

At WV Lifeline Ambulance Services, LLC, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations. A key part of that commitment is maintaining a strong and transparent Compliance Program that ensures our organization operates with integrity, accountability, and respect for the patients and communities we serve.

Our Compliance Program is designed to ensure adherence to all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes strict compliance with patient privacy protections under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as best practices for clinical documentation, patient care reporting, and billing integrity. By maintaining rigorous standards for charting accuracy and billing processes, we work to ensure that every service we provide is documented and billed responsibly.

In addition, our organization follows regulatory guidance and operational standards established by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (WVOEMS). These frameworks help guide how we manage protected information, maintain operational transparency, and uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Compliance is not a one-time effort but an ongoing commitment. WV Lifeline Ambulance invests in continued education and training for our clinicians and administrative team to ensure they remain informed about evolving regulations, documentation standards, and healthcare compliance requirements. By staying proactive in education and oversight, we aim to foster a culture of accountability and professional excellence across our organization.

Through these efforts, our Compliance Program help ensure that every member of our team contributes to a safe, ethical, and responsible healthcare environment while advancing our mission of Mobilizing Accessibility.
