Job Descriptions
EMVO:
The Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other emergency response vehicles. Working as part of an EMS team, the EMVO ensures the timely transport of patients while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and compliance with all applicable driving and emergency medical service regulations.
EMT:
The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate pre-hospital care to patients during emergency and non-emergency medical calls. Working as part of a team, the EMT provides basic life support (BLS), patient assessment, treatment, and transport services while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal EMS protocols and standards.
DISPATCHER:
The Dispatcher is a critical member of the EMS team responsible for coordinating emergency and non-emergency medical transportation. This position involves receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching ambulance crews efficiently and accurately, while maintaining constant communication with field units, hospitals, and other public safety agencies. The Dispatcher ensures smooth operations, timely responses, and the safety of both patients and EMS personnel.
SAFETY OFFICER:
The Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety programs to ensure a safe environment for all employees, particularly Emergency Medical Vehicle Operators (EMVO), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Paramedics, and support personnel. This role involves identifying potential hazards, enforcing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.), and promoting a culture of safety within the ambulance company.

FIELD OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR:
The Field operations Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of our crews and ambulance operations in the field. As a member of the administration team, this individual assists in enforcing our policies and procedures and ensuring that operational concerns are identified and addressed timely. This role is important to support the successful operations of WV Lifeline Ambulance and all business that it conducts on a field-level basis.
**Positions listed above may require working varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs. Employees may be exposed to a range of environmental conditions, including inclement weather, hazardous driving environments, exposure to traumatic situations and emotionally distressing incidents. It requires physical stamina, the ability to work for extended periods, prolonged driving, and the capacity to respond swiftly and effectively to dynamic and high-pressure situations.**
